SERVO IMPACT SYSTEM 2
The AFFORDABLE PC-driven CNC Mini-Mill for prototyping and
production of SMALL precision 3D parts! (Model 7830 above)
- Low investment
- Compact Size
- Lower operating costs
- System flexibility
- Speed and accuracy
- Reliability
"Produce quality parts
more competitively and profitably with the machine that is fast,
reliable and highly affordable"
SERVO IMPACT System 2...
Invaluable in reducing machine overhead and
production costs. Saves valuable floor space. Quickly machine
parts that fit a work envelope of 10" x 5-1/4 x 3-1/2
".
With a base price under $15,000, the IMPACT System 2 easily
accommodates those with a limited budget. Plus with the option of
low monthly lease financing, the IMPACT System 2 offers even
greater affordability.
Requiring just six square feet of floor space, the IMPACT
System 2 is ideal for confined areas. It can save as much as
thirty square feet of space compared to full-size CNC footprints.
Would you like to reduce equipment overhead costs dramatically
while better utilizing your full-size CNC to machine larger
parts? Our comparison, below, illustrates how the cost to produce
a single part can be reduced by 85% or $4.08 per part using the
IMPACT system 2 ! (And this doesn't even address lower tooling or
labor costs. ) Could this be the cost-reduction factor that will
make you more competitive?
Cost comparison reveals how you can save 85% or
$4.08 per part with the IMPACT System 2!
From highly inefficient... Your full-size "$100,000" CNC is in use 40
hours per week. Over five years (10,400 hours), your machine
overhead costs $9.61 per hour. Operating costs to machine a
30-minute part run $4.80 per part.
$100,000/10,400 hrs. = $9.61 per hr / 30 min =
$4.80 per part
To highly efficient... You purchase a "$15,000" IMPACT System 2
instead. With the same amount of use and amortized over the same
time period, your operating costs drop to only $1.44 per hour.
Machining the same 30-minute part above, your overhead costs
decrease to just $.72 per part.
$15,000/10,400 hrs. = $1.44 per hr /30 min = $.
72 per part ($4.80- $.72 = $4.08 per part savings)

Use Servo's control software to discover the ease and
flexibility of designing and modifying part designs on your PC.
Obtain the proper size and shape of your part with features such
as scaling and mirror imaging. Tilt, compress and stretch your
designs using your favorite CAD/CAM software. Even Input scanned
line art. Create part programs of any length. Then, using the PC
or pendant to control operation of the Servo mini-mill, quickly
create 3D engineering prototypes or production parts. Mill, drill
and engrave metals, plastics, green ceramics, wood, glass or wax.
Also use the pendant to teach point-to-point and angular moves,
and to replay programs.
High resolution
mill with VR servo motors helps you save time and
effort with simple setups and low-cost tools and fixtures.
Use inch or metric to make shapes requiring 3 or 4 axes at the
same time. Cut full circles with one command. Program your part
edge, then specify cutter size. (PC not included.)
Options include fourth-axis rotary table, precision ground
ball screws,
workbench including assembled mill/control, plus dual mill heads.
Feed rates, feed rate override, program codes
and each axis
position are shown on PC screen as part is being machined
The closed loop servo drive system with encoders (instead of
open loop stepper-driven system) offers high resolution with fast
feed rates, positioning reliability and shorter cycle times. With
these features, the IMPACT mill can outperform some larger, more
expensive NC machines, to produce smooth, accurate and
distortion-free parts! For even higher performance, spindles with
quick change tools, higher horsepower and speeds to 120,000 rpm
can be added.
What's more, the brushless DC variable reluctance servo motors
with sealed motor covers mean less stringent maintenance, longer
motor life and quieter operation.
Use two heads to make two identical parts at one time, or load a
different tool in each spindle for multiple operations on one part.
